What people are saying…

“Julia saved my breastfeeding journey with my premature baby girl. I am a first time mama, C-section mama, who needed a blood transfusion, lived in the NICU for 14 days and struggled with a baby who was not gaining enough weight once we returned home. Julia was recommended by our paediatrician and we first met with her, in our home, when our daughter was just about 1 month old. I share a little snip of our story in case there’s another mama out there who feels hopeless in pursuing her breastfeeding dreams. I owe our success to the incredible guidance from Julia. It is difficult to find the right words to truly describe the impact of Julia’s wisdom, teaching and guidance as it relates to breastfeeding. Julia is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to breastfeeding challenges, tongue ties etc. Her ability to share her vast knowledge is done in a way that empowers you and gives you the confidence to work on this new skill that you are learning with your baby. We met Julia during a very vulnerable and hard time. She was always easy to reach and extremely flexible with scheduling us in. The appointments were never rushed and she accommodated us at a whim, during the tougher days. The home visit appointments were a blessing and extremely beneficial for a tired mama. Her website and reading material is very well organized and easy to navigate. It was incredibly helpful to have written ressources to refer to when we were unsure of certain aspects and/or couldn’t remember certain tips we had learned during our in person appointments. It is difficult to truly summarize the impacts of Julia on our breastfeeding journey. She taught me to trust my mama instinct and never left me feeling like I was failing, despite feeling so unsure many times.

At one point in our journey, we were triple feeding and at times it felt like we’d never reach our goal of exclusive breastfeeding, but with the constant support from Julia we achieved this goal and continue to breastfeed our 5 month old daughter. We will forever be grateful for Julia’s help and I believe every mama should have an opportunity to work with Julia.”

“Julia is an amazing LC, and I truly cannot express how grateful I am to have found her. She helped me navigate the challenges of nursing my newborn baby with compassion, patience, and encouragement. She is so knowledgeable and her gentle baby-lead approach to nursing is something I think really sets her apart from the “old school” ways you may be taught in hospital or elsewhere. With Julia’s help I was able to quickly and drastically improve my nursing experience, and build my confidence. I have felt completely supported and encouraged by her every step of the way, and as a new mom this is truly invaluable. I highly recommend Julia for every mom, the extra support from a professional makes all the difference!”

“ I want to say thank you for all of your help with mine and Isaiah's breastfeeding journey. Because of you, we have succeeded in accomplishing my goal to exclusively breastfeed! If it wasn't for your support, I probably would have given up on my goal months ago. So again, thank you very much for helping me make this very important part of motherhood possible.”

“I felt incredibly informed during and between appointments. I appreciate the focus on both mother and infant health with respect to issues we were/are having. Very timely responses and follow up and continued assistance and support as my baby and I continue to work through challenges. I always leave feeling like I am working hard with my baby to make breastfeeding successful which has been tremendously positive for my mental health. I never felt pressured to exclusively breastfeed (although I do) but rather supported to make that a possibility for us.”

“I wanted to thank you for all the work you put in with our family and all the meetings you had with me as I navigated through all the chaos and new learnings of feeding my little miss who likes what she likes. She has really hit her stride and is eating very well now and sleeps!! As soon as she started sleeping she started eating really well!! Little bug is nearly crawling, will probably start crawling in a couple weeks here.

We really appreciate all that you did for us with house visits and the virtual visits. Through all the stress and chaos of our particular eater and my pumping issues, you made it easier and provided hope that it would all work out in time.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

Definitely will reach out with any concerns with baby number 2 in the future! ”

Thank you for your help these past few weeks with Mikaela. Andrea and her have been nursing almost exclusively since Thursday, which is something we didn't think would be possible before we met with you.”

Very supportive. Good holistic approach to infant nutrition, maternal and infant overall well-being (as opposed to only focusing on direct breast feeding as in some other settings)

Yesterday we had our 6 week follow up for Theo and he weighed in at 5300 grams. His weight is up just shy of 50% of his birth weight! We also had family photos so I thought I’d share all our success and thank you so much for your help and kindness. Breastfeeding is super important to our family and we (and my nipples) are so grateful for our success
